How to Reuse Ceremony Flowers at the Reception

After spending countless hours selecting and arranging some of the most luxurious flowers for the perfect wedding ceremony, we aren’t about to let you just leave them behind when the reception begins. There are so many creative ways to repurpose your blooms and enhance the decor of your reception and they help stretch your floral budget a little further too. Here are some of our favorite ways to repurpose those items and inspire your flower reuse efforts.

Repurpose Bouquets for a Stunning Head Table

During every consultation, we tell all our clients to repurpose the wedding party bouquets as centerpieces for the head table. Oftentimes, those bouquets are filled with the most luxe and delicate blooms, so they need more time to shine.

Simply place the bouquets in the classic vases we provide for you and arrange them in a visually appealing way down the center of the table. Fill in any blank space with lush greenery and candles for a truly magical look.

This not only saves you money on additional floral arrangements, but also provides a special touch by giving each wedding party member a designated spot at the head table. Plus, it creates a cohesive look between the ceremony and reception decor.

Ceremony Aisle Flowers into Reception Decor

Another way to make the most of your floral budget is to repurpose the flowers from your ceremony aisle into reception decor. If you had floral arrangements lining the aisle, we suggest moving them to decorate your welcome table, gift table, head table, or cake table. The options are limitless!

One of the things that we suggest to everyone are moveable floor pieces! They can be used several ways at both the ceremony and reception. With their versatility, they give you the most bang for your buck. Repurposing these flowers not only saves you money but also adds a personal touch as guests are greeted with familiar blooms from the ceremony.

You can also use them as additions to the guest book table or dessert display to create a cohesive look between the ceremony and reception spaces. Just be sure to have someone to transport them safely and put them in the correct places. Whatever you choose, the flowers will be a great addition to your reception decor!

Utilize Archway Flowers as Reception Backdrop

If you had a beautiful floral altar or archway at your ceremony, consider using it as a backdrop or prop for your photo booth. Your guests will love taking photos in front of the gorgeous arrangement and it's a great way to repurpose them so you can enjoy them all night long.

You can make your reception look beautiful and unique by using flowers to decorate other areas of your reception space like the gift table, cake table, or sweetheart table. Surround your sweetheart table with the altarpieces or place the archway behind the head table. A little creativity can go a long way in making your wedding day look stunning without breaking the bank!
