Whimsical English Inn Wedding in Eaton Rapids
Want to see Katie + Chris’ whimsical English Inn wedding day? They were the sweetest couple and were smiling the entire day!
Not only did we get to see their kind personalities the day of the wedding, but getting to know them during the planning process and venue walkthrough was simply delightful. During that time, we got to see a glimpse of just the amazing people that they were. It was a true joy to create and bring their vision to life on this special day.
We have designed several weddings at the English Inn and this is one of our favorite venues in the Lansing area. If you are looking for a venue where you can truly be surrounded by nature and its beauty, the English Inn provides just that. The landscape for the ceremony includes a beautiful pergola nested into lush gardens that overlooks the river.
Intimate First Look at English Inn Wedding
One of our favorite moments to get little sneak peeks of on wedding days are first looks! While we were designing the pergola for their ceremony, we got to see Katie + Chris’ first look and watch them take the sweetest portraits together throughout the gardens.
Choosing to do a first look on a wedding day adds a unique and intimate touch, before the busyness of the day happens, which you are definitely going to want to capture to have for years to come. It’s a moment just for the two of you!
The location of a first look can add to the magic and create some special photos that be cherished for a lifetime. At the English Inn, there are endless possibilities to choose from: stunning gardens, grassy fields, lush forest, down by the river, under the pergola - you are not lacking for beautiful scenery there!
English Inn Wedding Ceremony at the Pergola on the Grand River
One of the things we love at this venue is its breathtaking outdoor ceremony space! The pergola is nestled in between stunning gardens, surrounded by woods, and beside the Grand River in Eaton Rapids, Michigan.
Whenever we design an outdoor ceremony, we are taking into consideration the surroundings and how we can extend nature to create something that flows together naturally. For the pergola, we decided to go with lush greenery and flowers sprinkled throughout. We also included some moveable floor pieces to accent the pergola that were then moved to the ceremony space. Moveable floor pieces are an excellent way to reuse your ceremony flowers and bring more color, texture and movement into your reception space.
Wedding Reception in Medovue Hall at English Inn
Creating a reception space by repurposing the ceremony flowers is one of our favorite things to do. There are so many different ways to do that. For the reception, we were able to resume the bridal and attendant bouquets. Bouquets have some of the most luxe flowers in them, so showcasing them during the reception can be such a simple and easy way to add to the head table, as well as other spaces throughout the reception. If you choose to add lush greenery to the head table, you can create a dreamy tablescape that will enhance all of your reception photos.
Whimsical Wedding Photos at English Inn
As florists, the biggest compliment we can get is referring us to friends and family. This wedding was extra special because the maid of honor was also a client of ours. Word of mouth referrals never get old! And bonus, we get a chance to catch up with our “flower friends” too. One of our favorite moments with Katie + Chris was simply watching them together, as well as watching them interacting with their family and friends. The bonds everyone shared were apparent and it truly was an honor to play a small part in their day.
Are you ready to work together? If you dream of natural, whimsical designs straight from the garden and like what you see here, then we would love to chat with you!
